Van Wickle, b. abt. 1818, NJ; Simon^7 Van Wickle, b. March 1821, New Brunswick, NJ. He m. Anna Randolph Stout. They had at least one son, Augustus Stout Van Wickle, b. 4 January 1856 New Brunswick, NJ and m. to Bessie Pardee 20 September 1882 in Hasleton, Luzerne, PA.

1860 US Census for Monroe, Middlesex, NJ lists Stephen Van Wickle, 45, b. NJ with wife, Sarah, 35, b. NJ, and Ida, 15, Elizabeth, 8, Charles, 6, Edward, 8 months, and Id

Inventory filed 1837 Middlesex County - file 11897L, Trenton, late of South Amboy, Middlesex Co., 7 July 1837. Lists furniture room by room of an obviously large house (8 bedsteads), also outbuildings including animals and peach orchard as well as other crops and a black girl by the name of Clarry. Made by Peter Barclay and Wm Davison. Total = $626.85. Jonathan H. Morgan and Stephen M. Van Wickle administrators of Nicholas VW appeared before surrogate to present same.

On 1809 in South Amboy rate list as Jr. but not in 1808

Holland Society file of Dr. Charles Edgar VW (1952) says Nicholas b. 18 December 1786 and d. 18 June 1837 Middlesex Co., Ida b. 21 April 1791, d. 24 February 1862. Her date of birth appears to be in error so other dates may not be at all accurate. See son Stephen.
